Surf might not be a genetic heritage, but the life style of many parents does directly influence the children. This case in the Guveia's family is well-known, but now the resemblance is greater between Ian and Fábio Gouveia.

Since August, Fábio's son started wearing the same brand of neoprene wetsuits as the surfing Brazilian idol has been wearing since 1988. Ian has just signed a sponsorship contract with Mormaii and intends to follow his dad's footsteps.

Considering that he's been focused on school more than the practices, the results haven't appeared yet. He represented Brazil in the French world championship; however, he didn't perform well. It's a matter of time, because he already surfs well, that's why Mormaii has hired him.

Even though he lives in Florianopolis, where Aragua is, Ian learns in the water directly from his dad. Fabinho encourages Ian on many surf trips with his brothers and friends; a recent one was to Northern Peru where they surfed Panic Point and other waves.

Since his children were born Fabinho took them to championships of the World Tour, being an example of union, which ended up bringing him glorious victories, such as in Sunset Beach, in the Triple Crown.

The quality of the Mormaii's equipments has always helped Fabinho with his achievements and the same will be done for the future champion, Ian Gouveia.
