Rachel Ashwell Designs Inc, the company responsible for bringing luxury bedding and slip covered furniture to the American market, announced its partnership with Jerry Leigh, leading manufacturer of licensed apparel brands. Jerry Leigh and company founder and design icon Rachel Ashwell will launch Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture, a line of loungewear and sleepwear to be distributed through fine boutiques, better department stores, and in Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic retail locations.

“Collaborating with Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic will evolve the sleepwear division of Jerry Leigh, and is a phenomenal opportunity for our company. We believe the Shabby Chic brand will have tremendous success in the better loungewear and sleepwear market utilizing vintage inspired fabrics, unique feminine trims, and exquisite attention to detail,” says Andrew Leigh, President of Jerry Leigh. “Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic is recognized worldwide as the finest creator of home goods, slipcovered furniture, and bedding. Bringing their design expertise to loungewear is a natural progression for the brand.”

“When choosing pieces for the Rachel Ashwell, Shabby Chic lines, we look for beauty, comfort, and function. As we have expanded our stores to include a wider range of products and a broader range of color palettes, we have learned that our customers want to extend the Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic lifestyle to their closets,” notes Rachel Ashwell. “Jerry Leigh is an exceptional licensing partner and we are so pleased to collaborate with them on the finest loungewear available.”

The deal was sourced and negotiated by ROAR, the Beverly Hills, California based talent and brand management company. ROAR has been Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic's manager since 2006 and will continue to manage the expansion of the brand.
