NexCen Brands Inc owner of both the Bill Blass and the Waverly brand, is happy to announce that Bill Blass menswear designer Michael Bastion is featured in the September 2008 issue of Domino magazine.
The article titled, "The Gentleman's Guide to Graceful Living", showcases the great design eye Michael has right in the comfort of his own Manhattan apartment.
The story also highlights the classic Waverly fabrics and paint, as well as, the Bill Blass bedding Michael incorporates into his home design scheme.
Domino Magazine refers to Mr. Bastion's home as a "trove of just-so classics and distinctive collectibles that share the same seamless blend of casual and formal as his edgy-preppy, all-American clothes."
Waverly fabric adorns his comfortable and casual thrift-shop club chairs placed on opposite sides of his Living room fireplace.
"Like Waverly, these chairs are classic and beautiful. I have reupholstered them several times instead of buying new. For that modern take on heritage look, I chose a timeless Waverly ticking stripe pattern in black," states Mr. Bastion.
Waverly is also upholstered on the chair in Michael's bedroom and Waverly paint available at Lowe's is used in Colonial Beige as the backdrop for his Bill Blass bedding.
For his bedroom chair Michael chose another longtime Waverly pattern, "Martin", a classic houndstooth pattern. According to Mr. Bastion, "Waverly's updated traditional patterns fit right into my design style.
Waverly is a source of inspiration for me and for anyone's home regardless of personal style."
