Shenzhen city gets first La Go Go retail store

Ever-Glory International Group Inc a leading apparel supplier in the People's Republic of China, announced it has successfully opened its first La Go Go retail store in Shenzhen.
The newly opened La Go Go store is located in Kingkey Banner Center, a shopping mall serving high-end communities in Shenzhen. The store occupies 82 square meters.
"We are very pleased to open our first retail store in Shenzhen, which is a dynamic city in China," said Mr. Edward Yihua Kang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ever-Glory.
"Launched in early 2008, we have set up a retail network in more than 20 cities in China, and we are confident we will operate 80 to 100 La Go Go stores by the end of the year.
With Chinese consumers increasing demand for the latest fashions, we anticipate our retail strategy will serve the domestic market through our stores' attractive presence and timely introduction of new styles."
Shenzhen is a coastal city in southern China's Guangdong province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong. In 2007, Shenzhen's GDP per capita was 79,221 yuan (US$10,628), ranking seventh among the 659 Chinese cities.
"In addition to opening stores in tier one and coastal cities, we also look forward to extending our reach into Central China, including Hubei, and Henan Provinces, where residents' purchasing power has grown dramatically in recent years," added Mr. Kang.
