Juki heads to Kerala to explore opportunities in apparel industry

A wholly owned subsidiary of JUKI Singapore, Juki India Private Limited, has opened its branch office in Kochi to seize and explore the underlying potential of the apparel industry in Kerala.

While talking to the reporters, Mr Katsumi Nihei, Managing Director of the Company stated, “Kerala has high growth potential in the apparel industry and we have plans to garner 15 percent market share of the products and services provided to the apparel industry in the State.”

The company is essentially a supplier of apparel equipments, industrial sewing machines, surface mount technology (SMT) systems, household sewing machines and provides services like assisting apparel manufacturers in increasing productivity, developing highly efficient production systems and improving work environment.

Mr Katsumi further added saying, “India is achieving high economic growth through the efforts of the people and considering the potential for growth of garment industries, we are moving forward with reinforcement of the sales and technical service organizations in the country”.

Apart from having a warehouse in Chennai, the company also has liaison offices in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Tirupur, Ludhiana and Mumbai.
