lululemon athletica offers “Namaste” to Washington DC with the arrival of a new retail store. The yoga-inspired athletic apparel company's first store in the nation's capitol will be located at 1461 P Street NW in the Logan Circle neighborhood.

On Saturday, guests are invited to kick off the grand opening weekend with a complimentary yoga class at 9 a.m. led by Cory Bryant from Flow Yoga Center. The celebration will continue after doors open at 10 a.m. with a healthy brunch, henna painting and fitness demos featuring yoga, hooping and dance. A DJ will spin the party into the evening as guests check out the latest in functional and stylish athletic gear.

The festivities will continue throughout the weekend with a complimentary Pure Barre class on Sunday at 10 a.m. led by Amy Barnes from Logan Circle's B. Fit studio. A brunch after class will be followed by live music, chair massage and delicious teas. A candlelight yoga class at 6pm led by teacher Pleasance Lowengard will conclude the day.

“We are excited to welcome active DC residents to our new store in the vibrant Logan Circle neighborhood,” says Christina Zanotti, Logan Circle store manager. “lululemon's athletic apparel is ideal for busy men and women who demand functional and flattering cuts for both workouts and life in the city.”

lululemon offers highly functional products with outstanding fit to yogis, runners, dancers and fitness enthusiasts. The company currently has more than 90 locations across the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Guests can chat with the knowledgeable staff and check out the community board to learn about Washington DC's latest yoga and fitness classes and events. The store will partner with local yoga studios and fitness clubs to offer ongoing complimentary classes, demos, and health-related seminars to guests.
