Sialkot, the next garment city in the making

Following the demand of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), Federal Minister for Textile Industry Rana Farooq Saeed Khan announced the establishment of an international standard garments city in Sialkot, at a seminar.

The Minister further assures that Pakistan Government will provide sufficient support to the garment industry, enabling them to upgrade the quality of production and help exploring new international markets.

PRGMEA in association with Ministry of Textile Industry organized this seminar, titled 'Emerging Trends and Issues in Sports Wear Industry in Sialkot' at a local hotel.

Mr Ejaz A Khokhar, former central Chairman of PRGMEA, Mr Abdul Rauf, Federal Secretary Textile Islamabad, Mr Farkhand Iqbal Joint Secretary, Dr Khurram Anwar Khawaja President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and experts from Islamabad and Lahore were also present in the event.
