Down garment exports from Yangzhou spiral up

Although the export is under the pressure of global recession, down jacket exports from Yangzhou witnessed a substantial growth this year. At present, Yangzhou has become the largest export city of down jackets in China.
In the period from January to October this year, down apparel exports from Yangzhou city totaled to nearly 1153 units, worth US $38.22 million, up 30.5 percent year-on-year, exceeding the overall export volume of last year.
It is reported that, in the past, down jackets from Yangzhou were mainly exports to the European Union and America, the traditional markets of China.
However, in recent years, Yangzhou has gradually exploited the markets in North Africa and Asia; now their exports have expanded to more than 20 countries and regions.
