Megamart, the retail arm of India's largest integrated textile manufacturer and leading branded apparel and retailer, Arvind Ltd celebrated its 15th birth day recently in a grand way.

With the inception of its first value retail outlet in Mahadevpura in 1994, Megamart made the latest fashions available as well as affordable to one and all.

On this occasion, Mr Suresh J, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mega mart, shared the experience of this prosperous journey with Fibre2fashion.com saying “Megamart has been a pioneer in the value retail chain and it has been a successful 15 years for Megamart. Over the years, Megamart has metamorphosised from being a channel to liquidate surplus stocks to a fashion value chain offering mega brands at mega savings 365 days a year. In recent times, MM has also diversified into large format stores in a number of Tier II and III towns.”

Continuing the conversation Mr Suresh J stated, “We pride ourselves in providing good brands at great discounts to the consumers which makes Megamart a favourite destination. In addition to Megabrands and Mega discounts Megmart also offers an excellent ambience for a discount / value chain so that the consumers feel comfortable in the shopping ambience provided. Megamart delights by providing one of the best customer service experiences in the retail chain. We offer maximum convenience because of well located stores. All these make Megamart a successful retail chain.”

Revealing the future plans for the coming years, the CEO smilingly said, “We are expanding Megamart quite aggressively. We have now got 130 stores and 3 large format outlet centres which are about 50000 sq ft in size. We are opening stores at the rate of 5 per month and we will continue to open stores at this aggressive pace. We should be a 200 store chain by the end of next year. Presently Megamart operates over a network of 130 stores in 45 cities across India, and has no plans of stopping.”
