China International Clothing & Accessories Fair from March 26

China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC) has been co-organized by China National Garment Association, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd, and Sub-council of Textile of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade annually in Beijing, China since 1993. CHIC 2009, which is the 17th session, will be held in the new China International Exhibition Center on March 26-29, 2009.

In the 17 years since its establishment, CHIC, the most important fashion exhibition in Asia, has grown into a prestigious fashion event that serves as a platform of brand exhibition and trade with unmatched business values and industrial and social influences.

After a strategic adjustment, CHIC has expanded its scope to a new record. Every year, 1000-odd brand exhibitors and thousands of fashion buyers come from countries and regions around the world. They gather in Beijing to communicate and exchange, and businesses take place.

In CHIC exhibition halls, events such as “China Fashion Industry Collection”, “Premium Ready-to-Wear Garment Brand Collection”, “China Garment Retailer Joint Conference”, “China Garment Forum” and “China Garment Brand Annual Awards” are held, and CHIC is referred to the “barometer”, “propeller” and “Olympic Games” of the Chinese fashion industry.

“CHIC carries the mission of not only exhibiting and serving the global fashion industry, but also guiding and propelling it, so that every participating individual and company, no matter it is an enterprise, a brand, a merchant, a buyer, a designer or an agent, will be able to improve,” says the organizer.

CHIC 2009, ushered into a new era, will change from the traditional “business-and-trade” type to a multi-dimensional integration of “premium fashion”, “business elite”, and “cross-functional convergence”. With brand new innovations of organizational systems and presentation patterns, it will reinforce brand communications, strengthen specialized business services, increase functional activities, introduce the idea of cross-functional convergence, and optimize visual effects.

By applying the concepts of “lifestyle” and “fashion trend” and with themes of “Do Good”, “Rhythm and Melody” and “Butterfly Dance”, CHIC 2009 will design the hall plan by products and styles. There will be eight zones in the 100,000-square-meter exhibition hall, which are: Men's Business Attire/Business Attire, Casual/ Sporty/ Jeans/ Street Wear, Leather, Infant and Children's Wear/ Maternity Wear, Women's Wear/ Cashmere/ Bridal's Wear/ Formal Wear/ Body and Intimate Wear, Women's Premium Business Attire/ Ladies' Wear/ Young Fashion, Design Lounge, Overseas Exhibitors.

Facing a strategic opportunity for the Chinese fashion industry, CHIC sticks to the guideline of “premium, professional, and resource-oriented” services to innovate, transform and upgrade. The purpose is to further build CHIC into a fashion exhibition brand that offers forward-lookinginformation and industry-leading opportunities and facilitates people to communicate and change, driving fundamental development and all-round integration of the fashion industry with related industries.
