'Garco 10' plans international branding strategy

Garment Company 10, which is owned by the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group received the coveted Ho Chi Minh medal and became the first enterprise in textile and garment industry to be awarded this award.

The Director General Mr Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen said, “The company aims to be a strong economic group by 2020, based on the enhancement and development of the brand name Garco 10.”

He added by saying that, “The company will lay a strong focus on technology up-gradation and develop the company into a hi-tech manufacturing, trading and fashion center. In addition, the company will also try to promote the brand name in overseas markets.”

In 2008, the total revenue of Garment Company 10 reached Vnd 607 billion, up 23% year on year with a profit of Vnd 16.7 billion. For 2009, the company has set its revenue target at Vnd 713 billion and also creating 1,500 more jobs and providing training to 1,000 technical workers.
