Vinatex group spells out three strategies to achieve 2009 goals

Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), which is one of the biggest companies from the sector, said that despite difficulties in 2008, the Vietnamese textile and garment industry attained a remarkable growth rate, in growing by 18 percent over 2007 with an export value of US$ 9.1 billion.

But at the same tine Vinatex has predicted that 2009 will be a difficult year for the industry due to the impact of the economic crisis and the recessionary trends prevailing in global markets, particularly in the key markets of Vietnam. Vinatex is planning to implement three strategies to achieve its targeted plans for 2009.

The first strategy is to raise capital by increasing the equity base of the company. The second is to transform its way of working by turning itself into technologically fundamental company and the third and the last is to create a brand image along with enlarging and diversifying the markets of the company.
