Apparel accessories exports register commendable growth

Vietnamese apparel accessories exports turnover in fiscal year 2008 fetched US $833 million and thereby posted a year – on – year growth of a commendable 31 percent, the growth, which has not been compiled by any other product category from the textile and garment industry.
For the month of December alone, the exports of accessories stood at $88.33 million. In 2008, made in Vietnam apparel accessories made its presence felt in 45 countries and territories, including the top markets of the US which accounted for exports totaling to $235.09 million, Japan $74.6 million and Belgium $70.62 million.
