Jigsaw unveils new spring-summer fashion clothes collection

Jigsaw is excited to introduce their beautiful fashion clothing collection SS09, drawing inspiration from painters by the sea with Picasso's French Riviera preppy styles, David Hockney's vibrant East coast colours and Jackson Pollock's West coast muted tones and rich flashes in abstract prints.

Light-hearted and carefree, the collection is infused with a bohemian aesthetic with washed linen, raw silk and canvas lending a relaxed holiday vibe. Sea blue and chalky pinks and greens sit beautifully alongside warm yellow, hot geranium and poppy red in a graphic contrast of colour.

The new SS09 collection is the second collection to be available online on Jigsaw's first transactional website.

Founded by John Robinson in 1972, Jigsaw has since expanded from just 1 store in Hampstead, to having 47 fashion clothing shops across the UK and an additional children's clothes line, Jigsaw Junior. Still privately owned by John and his wife Belle, in 2004 Jigsaw ventured into the USA and opened its first American store in Los Angeles - Jigsaw USA now has 9 stores across the United States.

Jigsaw ensure that their many stores remain fresh and visually exciting by delivering new stock to branches weekly, meaning the ranges in-store refresh constantly. Jigsaw's in-house design team in Kew, West London now produce two principal ranges a year, which sub-divide into Autumn, Winter, Christmas, Spring, High Summer and late Summer.

In November 2008 Jigsaw launched its first foray into the beauty arena with organic bath & beauty products line 'Jigsaw Organics' - a project which was particularly close to the heart of John Robinson, who is also an organic farmer and strongly believes in the benefits of organic living. John and Belle live their daily lives by organic, natural and ethical principles and worked very closely on the development of the range.

Over 70% Organic and Soil Association Certified, made with super rich natural ingredients in Devon to the highest standards and using recyclable apothecary-inspired glass bottles, the range of products is synonymous with Jigsaw's strong English heritage, natural style, inherent quality and careful attention to detail.

In November 2008, Jigsaw also launched their first transactional website opening the doors of Jigsaw to customers anywhere at anytime - still retaining a pure, relaxed and natural shopping environment encompassing all the elements that have become the cornerstones of the Jigsaw brand, right down to the moment the beautifully packaged polka dot-clad purchases arrive on customers' doorsteps.

Jigsaw is a British brand with a strong identity inspired by country living, quirkiness, irreverence and humour. A strong brand heritage, considerate creative direction and day to day input from the founders, Belle and John Robinson, ensure that as the company grows and evolves, both the core and original Jigsaw customers – many present from the first store-opening in 1972 - are catered for just as much as the new wave of customers pouring through the doors.
