It would be a little apprehensive to think that the newly purchased trendy top has been made from a cool drink bottle or the fibres of a gorgeous suit are derived from a recycled plastic bottle.

Recycled plastic bottles are now being utilized to their optimum in making apparels and home textiles. PET bottles (Cooking oil, and cool drink bottles), HDPE (milk and fruit juice bottles), and PVC (mineral water bottles) bottles are being used for making apparels, home textiles, and other fashion accessories.

Bottles are collected and sorted out based on their nature. They are then shredded into granules, dried, refined, melted, and extruded into strands. The strands are stretched in to fibres to be then manufactured in to yarns, fabrics and apparels. etc.
