UNIQLO Tampines 1 Store to open on April 9

Our first UNIQLO store in Singapore, the much-awaited UNIQLO Tampines 1 Store is to open on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
UNIQLO's garment ranges will be made available to the valuable Singapore customer with the our “UT” and “denim” feature items taking center stage along with more than 200 items selected specifically for the Singapore market.
This first Singapore store marks a key acceleration in the globalization of UNIQLO, and we view this store opening as a key strategic move in our drive to enter South East Asian markets.

Our first UNIQLO store in Singapore, the much-awaited UNIQLO Tampines 1 Store is to open in Eastern Singapore on Thursday, April 9, 2009. UNIQLO's garment ranges will be made available to the valuable Singapore customer with the our “UT” & “denim” feature items taking center stage along with 200 items selected specifically for the Singapore market. The clear, pure white store interior is designed to show off the rich color variation of the merchandise to their best advantage.
UNIQLO globalization picks up pace
UNIQLO is also planning to open a second store in central Singapore in August in the new ION Orchard commercial facility, a building that is expected to become a new landmark on Orchard Road.
UNIQLO began its global expansion overseas in 2001 in the UK. Today, we have stores in the UK, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, USA and France. As UNIQLO seeks to step up the pace of its globalization process, we are very excited about this first Singapore store opening. Indeed, Singapore is a key strategic location for our future global development into the markets of South East Asia.
