The Canadian textile, garment and protective clothing industries are extremely innovative and able to providing high-tech, high-quality goods capable of meeting stringent international safety standards.

The latest range of products are in fact internationally recognized for their outstanding protection qualities and are the premier choice for first responders, municipalities, public security agencies and medical experts both in Canada and beyond. This is primarily due to massive investments in R&D.

Hundreds of people saw the proof at Workwear Canada - Toronto 2009 on March 26, where 31 top notch Canadian companies offered their outstanding products to Canadian and international purchasing executives. Organized by CTT Group, the Workwear Canada trade show series receives wide acclaim both as a business development opportunity and as an opportunity to rediscover these relatively unknown yet important industries.

According to Canadian Textile Association President John Secondi, Workwear Canada "demonstrates the vitality of Canada's textile industry and proves there is a market for our innovative products". The next edition will be taking place in Montreal on October 7 and 8, 2009 as part of Expo Hightex.
