Men in OLYMP - international performance is growing

The focused marketing activities of OLYMP Bezner GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany have for several seasons consistently featured the instantly memorable slogan "Men in OLYMP" and are achieving ever greater success.

The popularity and the demand for the OLYMP brand are clearly increasing amongst international customers. The growing popularity of the products, workmanship and quality from OLYMP is impressively evident and is now set to rise significantly from the 2009 winter season onwards with the launch of an extensive advertising campaign.

The high-profile presence which the OLYMP brand has already established for many seasons in the specialist press and within the trade itself, has enabled demand and sales volumes to be further increased amongst the international specialist trade and foreign consumers. Even in the difficult climate of the 2009 business year, OLYMP is at the very forefront of European shirt manufacturers and is continuing to demonstrate a strong visible presence in the specialist retail trade and in the large department stores in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

In 2009, OLYMP is also exporting in excess of 30 percent of its production of shirts, polos and ties to more than 40 countries throughout the world. In addition to the export countries in the West, such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, East European states such as Croatia, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Arab states in the Middle East, as well as China, are also successful consumer markets.

With the help of image-promoting advertising activities, the level of awareness of the company, as well as popularity and ownership ratings for the high-quality products from Bietigheim-Bissingen in Baden-Württemberg are to be increased worldwide to raise market share even further.

The extended sales support in the coming 2009 winter season will consist of active advertising support for participating specialist dealers abroad. Here OLYMP is offering attractive advertising concessions for the implementation of an advertising activity which is to be mutually agreed beforehand with the trade partner offering a choice, for example, of newspaper advertisements, posters or direct mailings.

The level of allowance will relate on an individual basis to the respective preorder volumes and in accordance with this can be directly influenced by the specialist retailers themselves.

However, the reimbursement, which amounts to between 4 and 10 percent of the order value, can only be claimed for advertising activities which relate solely to the OLYMP brand, which conform consistently to the OLYMP design guidelines and which are implemented within the time period of October – December 2009. In addition to this, it is subject to general prior approval by OLYMP. All information and special data carriers will be made available to the customers in goodtime.
