Exports of clothing continue to fall drastically

In the month of April, export of Nepali Readymade Garments (RMG) to the US witnessed a downfall of 58 percent compared to the same period of previous year according to Garment Association Nepal (GAN).
The total garments exported in this month totaled to US $5,29,569. These exports dwindled by 31 percent in March, with shipments touching $6,82,410 and in the month of February it had fallen by 55 percent.
In the month of February, total export of clothing reduced by 65 percent in comparison with that of last year's and it reached $9,15,275. In January too, it fell by 73 percent y-o-y to touch $7,06,964.
