girltrunks creates a new category in women's swimwear

A new concept in women's swimwear has emerged for the 2009 summer season. girltrunks combine the functionality and comfort of a traditional swim trunk, with a stylish flair and flattering fit designed specifically for women of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Paired with well-fitting tops in halter and tank styles, girltrunks offers a versatility not often found in traditional women's swimwear. Taking women from the pool, the beach or the gym to lunch with a friend, running errands or anywhere women want to be stylish and comfortable in swimwear.

This innovative concept in women's swimwear was developed by founder Debbie Kuhn after a trip to Montana where she knew she needed swimwear, but wasn't pleased with any available options. By pairing men's swim trunks with a woman's tankini top, the concept for girltrunks was born. After years of research and tailoring girltrunks to achieve the perfect style and fit for a women's body, girltrunks hit the virtual market in March 2009.

"I am so thrilled to have finally created girltrunks. It has been missing in the women's swimwear market for far too long," said Kuhn. "girltrunks are about more than just swimwear, they have empowered women with a comfortable confidence that is often lacking in traditional women's swimwear."

girltrunks is a two-piece, full coverage swimsuit that easily doubles as a shorts outfit which is purposeful. In addition to girltrunks' new and innovative design concept, the swim shorts material was specifically chosen for its ability to dry quickly, not cling and keep you from chafing.

Kuhn adds, "Another wonderful aspect of girltrunks is they are cross generational - from teens to mothers to grandmothers, girltrunks is a modern alternative to traditional swimwear. It looks great no matter what your age, shape or size."
