29th India Knit Fair to be held in Knitwear Capital of India

The India Knit Fairs organized in the KNITWEAR CAPITAL OF INDIA, TIRUPUR has maintained the stream of good number of Buyers/Importers from all over the world including Buying Agents/Houses representing important Buyers and Chain Stores abroad. We have conducted 28 such fairs in Tirupur with the enthusiastic participation of Exporting Community.

Most of the global players are eyeing on India's potential with great interest as one of the key suppliers of Textiles and Clothing in the Post Quota Scenario. With improved technology,we have overcome the limitations like shrinkage and torque in knitted fabrics/garments and this has opened more opportunities.

Fair Period: 7,8,9-10-2009 from 10.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m at IKFA Complex.

The biggest bonus of knits is of being able to create and design our own fabric. One can get creative with both colors and the selection of yarns for the very basic knits. Knits have become so versatile that they are not just restricted to apparels or just accessories any more. Not many of us know that at the domestic front knits have entered the world of home furnishings, is capturing the area of lingerie, jewelry, soft toys, footwear etc. Due to its ingenuity of its very basic structural identity knits have conquered the technical and the industrial front too. Be it Medical textiles, Geo textiles, Industrial textiles. This Knitwear segment of the garment industry has experienced many changes in the recent times.

We would like to emphasize that we have a secured future and Tirupur will bounce back with vigor to show an upward growth in forthcoming years. There is always a niche market available globally and we have to tap it well and one amongst them is the production of garments made out of Organic Cotton.

KNITWEAR TECHNOLOGY MISSION(KTM) AT TIRUPUR
With the same endeavor, AEPC has set up the KNITWEAR TECHNOLOGY MISSION in Tirupur. The objective of the Mission is to help the exporting community to go in for wider range of products in different kinds of fabrics to a larger market.With the advent of the new fabric base, we could cater to a larger market. We thank Shri Rakesh Vaid, Chairman, AEPC for his kind gesture in choosing Tirupur for Setting up this Mission.

INDIA KNIT FAIR (IKF)
The participants and visitors are in a growing trend since the inception of this Knit Fair.. This is evident from its survival for the past 28 fairs. The lion's walk takes with pride to its 29th IKF edition, which will also draw more Buyers/Buying agents from all over the world. It is understood from the feedback obtained from the participants that every Buyers visiting the Fair fetch them with good business, in other words, the visitors are serious Buyers. This time the responses from overseas Buyers/Buying Agents for their confirmation to visit the Fair are very much encouraging.

THE 29th Edition of India Knit Fair will be held from 7 – 9 OCTOBER, 2009 in the fully air-conditioned sprawling and exclusive halls of IKFA Complex, Tirupur. The theme of this three day event is Autumn/Winter/Mid-Summer Collection 2010. The best of the brand leaders/stores/wholesalers and importers have already identified Tirupur as one of the major sources for the Knitted Garments.
