Gujarat eyes investments in garment sector from Spain

Recently a trade delegation from Gujarat, visited Spain along with other European countries like Germany, under the aegis of “Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit” to solicit investments from the European countries in Gujarat.
In Spain, they met the representatives of the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce and Industry and made a presentation on 'Why Gujarat is a preferred destination for investment' and on the growing economy of Gujarat.
Impressed with the growth of the industrial sector in Gujarat, the mayor of Valladolid promised to take part in the next edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit. The visiting delegation explored opportunities in sectors like apparels and renewable energy.
Commenting on the potential of the garment sector, one of the members of the delegation said that, there are big prospects for investments in the garment sector as there are huge profit margins for apparels which are sold in European markets.
The delegation also included Bhimraj Pawar and Vijay Purohit, President and Vice-President of the Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association (GGMA), along with representatives of other trade association bodies of Gujarat.
