AEPC Buyer-Seller Meet in Spain witnesses footfalls of 140 buyers

The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) organised a buyer-seller meet from September 28 to 29 at Barcelona and October 1 to 2 at Madrid.
The meet was aimed at improving the presence of Indian garments manufacturers and exporters in Spanish market and to explore the opportunities.
A group of 25 participants in Barcelona and 27 in Madrid displayed their wide range products in ladies wear and children wear like tunics, dresses, tops -- casual and semi-formal wear, woven and knitted ladies garments and hi-fashion wear for kids, woven and knitted men's/women's garments, beach wear, paero scarf and fashion accessories, kaftans for promotion, shawls, bandnas, caps, girls, boys, infants and ladies high fashion ready to wear apparel, men's/ladies woven shirts, ladies blouse, skirts, tops, dress and tunic.
Indian ambassador to Madrid Sujata Mehta was present on the occasion. The event witnessed the footfalls of 140 buyers, including representatives from Zara, Confeecioney Myhos. Sl., Confetti, Cortefiel, El Corte Ingles, Etiem Textil S., In & Out, Indigo, Max Evans, Maxi Gracia S.l., Vio Corso s.l.
The volume of Spanish apparel market is about 12.98 billion dollars and India's exports are 333.7 million dollars.
