Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), the world's largest facility-based social and environmental compliance certification program, is hosting an awareness seminar on corporate social and environmental compliance in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on November 17, 2009.
Co-organized with Vietnam textile & Apparel Association (VITAS), Shoes and Leather Association (SLA), Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA) and Bureau Veritas CPS Vietnam, this half-day event is focused on how to establish and maintain a facility-based social and environmental compliance program to satisfy buyer requirements.
The seminar will cover an overview of WRAP background and principles, the process of WRAP certification, best practices of corporate social responsibility, and an overview of relevant local laws and regulations. Technical and quality managers, internal auditors, personnel who handle customer audits, certification body auditors and other interested parties are encouraged to attend the event.
More than 50 international brands and retailers accept WRAP certification as a robust standard for their social accountability programs and the number is growing.
Wide acceptance offers association members great advantages to lower the total cost of compliance by using one social and environmental certification to answer the needs of many clients. It also offers the opportunity to build new business with those existing brands and retailers in the US and European markets who accept the WRAP standard.
The event is free, but we do require registration due to the limitation of space.
