Award for good working conditions
During the visit by the Royal Couple, Director for MASCOT International Vietnam, Thomas Bo Pedersen, was presented with an award from the Chairperson for Hai Duong Province's People's Committe, Nguyen Thi Minh. “MASCOT Vietnam's management and employees have done an excellent job – not only as a successful investor. MASCOT has also managed to create a high quality workplace, “said Nguyen Thi Minh.
Employees own health clinic
The Vietnamese Authorities have paid attention to MASCOT's modern organisation where all employees receive thorough health and safety training. At the same time MASCOT educates in preventative health care. The company's own doctor and nurse give out regular information campaigns on prevention such as good nutrition, personal hygiene and the risk of AIDS infection, which is also a problem in Vietnam. “We are frequently asked why we use resources on all this. The answer is simple. It pays to treat employees well. Our productivity in the factory is 2 – 3 times higher than the national average in Vietnam,” concludes Michael Grosbøl.
