Workers padlock garment factory

Workers, of the Surya Nepal Garment factory in Tanki Sinwari of Morang district, associated with the Nepal Garment and Textile Workers' Union padlocked the factory with the demand to reinstate two ousted labourers back into the factory.
The factory administration had expelled two labourers from the factory, 15 days back on the charge of being involved in theft. However, central member of the Federation of All Nepal Trade Union, Mr. Tej Lal Karna stated that these allegations against the workers are unjustified.
Frequent denial of requests to the administration to not expel the labourers, forced them to protest in such a way, said Mr. Karna. The union has prohibited entry of the factory administrative Chief Mr. Abadhesh Kumar Jha, to his office.
