YMI names Michael Silvestri as Vice President of Outerwear

YMI names Michael Silvestri as Vice President of Outerwear. Silvestri, a seasoned outerwear sales executive with over 30 years experience, will oversee YMI's outerwear business and help to expand the brand's reach into new markets.

"Michael is an excellent addition to the YMI family," says David Vered, president of YMI. "He has a proven track record and has cultivated great relationships with department and specialty retailers. We are looking forward to significant growth and expanded distribution in our outerwear division."

Silvestri added, "YMI has established itself as a leader in the junior denim market because of its ability to consistently deliver trends and innovation. I am very excited to join the team and eager to help elevate the outerwear business to the next level."

Silvestri will be based at the YMI New York showroom in the heart of the city's fashion district.

YMI is one of the leading nationally advertised junior/young contemporary brands. The corporate office and distribution facility are located in the heart of the downtown Los Angeles fashion district. YMI is distributed at better department and specialty stores nationwide. With its roots in denim YMI is rapidly expanding its product offerings across multiple product categories.
