Bergdorf Goodman unveils LITTLE BG
Feb '10
Bergdorf Goodman has launched a newly designed children's department named LITTLE BG on the seventh floor.

LITTLE BG offers clothing and accessories in sizes newborn through six. Styles range from classic and traditional dressing, such as Papo d'Anjo and Florence Eiseman, to Euro-Boho childrenswear, such as Bonpoint and Antik Batik, to fashion designers, such as Philip Lim and Chloe.

The department also features exclusive collections from Le Guignol, Le Nouveau Ne and Bergdorf Goodman Collection, in addition to favorites such as Tartine et Chocolat, Little Marc Jacobs, Junior Gaultier, Baby Cz by Carolina Zapf, Loro Piana, Baby Dior, Hickey Freeman, Charvet, Vilbrequin, Isabel Garreton, Joan Calabrese and Petit Bateau.

Jim Gold, President and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman said, "LITTLE BG will reflect the style, quality and creativity for which Bergdorf Goodman has become known. We hope it will become a destination for exceptional children's product."

LITTLE BG features a completely comprehensive layette offering, including a collection of hand embroidered footies and playsuits made from the softest Pima cotton, Italian made cashmere booties, onesies and receiving blankets, and Moses baskets and gift sets. Special occasion dressing is offered for both boys and girls either off the rack or custom made to order, including dresses from Isabel Garreton and Joan Calabrese, boy's suits from Hickey Freeman, ties/bowties and dress shirts from Charvet and christening gowns designed by Baby Dior.

The department also includes a unique collection of handmade toys and gifts from around the world, including classic plush animals from Steiff, nostalgic rocking horses and pull toys, oversize headbands and bows from Britain's Tour de Force, sterling silver baby gifts from Monica Rich Kosann and traditional pedal push race cars and airplanes.

LITTLE BG is anchored off the 58th street elevator bank. At the center of the space stands an imaginative tree house that extends from floor to ceiling. White cabinetry trimmed in blue, filled with an array of wonderland curiosities, rests against soft yellow walls while aged wood flooring rounds out the story-telling space.

The specialty retailer, Bergdorf Goodman is located at the corner of 58th Street and 5th Avenue, and is part of the Neiman Marcus Group.
