Oxford & Chambray offer timeless style for the modern man

They were worn by men who built bridges, poured concrete and worked with steel throughout America's industrial revolution. Today, the classic American work shirt's new job is helping men create an effortless look with lived-in style. Core wardrobe items like the Chambray Workshirt and the Heritage Oxford found in the new Lands' End Canvas collection for men offer timeless style at an affordable price.

“I'm a firm believer that the details that were used in vintage clothing are the details that transcend time,” said Lands' End Canvas men's designer, Ernesto Ramirez. “Our Chambray Workshirt was inspired by a 1930s work shirt that we found during our vintage research.”

Bridging the Past to the Present
Keeping true to the 1930s work shirt, the Lands' End Canvas Chambray Workshirt is authentically detailed with zig-zag stitching under the collar and triple-needle stitching under the sleeves for reinforcement. “The button-through chest pockets and pencil slot give the shirt a vintage feel, however, a more refined fit and a variety of authentic color options help update it to a must-have for the modern man,“ says Ramirez.

Old School Oxford
Every man on campus had an oxford shirt in the 1950s and 60s, and today that classic collegiate look is back. The Lands' End Canvas Heritage Oxford Shirt holds onto its vintage past through classic construction and authentic details, like contrasts at the vent and inside cuff. Updates to this piece of classic American prep include shorter tails and a shorter button-down collar. Men will like it in their closet because it can be worn casually, untucked with jeans and sneakers or tucked in with a loose knotted tie paired with a cardigan and chinos.

Vintage Inspired Value
Keeping true to Lands' End value and quality, the Lands' End Canvas collection offers items that won't break the bank. The Chambray Workshirt and the Heritage Oxford Shirt are both priced under $40, and offer a modern, lived-in look with a nod to classic American style.

New Lands' End Canvas offers men and women a complete collection of casual apparel, swimwear, outerwear, shoes and accessories with a distinctly modern, effortless, lived-in style. The roots are at Lands' End an authentic brand with a reputation for quality, value and service. As such, all Lands' End and Lands' End Canvas merchandise is Guaranteed.
