Garment firms witness good export orders

A garment company of Vietnam, the Khanh Hoa has recently shipped first lot of its garment products worth US$52,000 to the US market. The company targets to bring in VND80 billion in 2010, informed Mr. Vo Thanh Quang, Director of the company.
Similarly, the Nha Trang Textile and Garment Joint stock Company (Nhatexco) exported its first batch of fibre to countries like China and Hong Kong in past couple of days, informed its General Director Mr. Le Ngoc Hoan.
Nhatexco has signed export orders of fibre and garments worth above US $2.3 million from EU, US, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Republic of Korea, Turkey and a few Southeast Asian countries, garnering a monthly turnover of US $600,000 from fibre and garment exports.
To fulfill these export orders, the company has restarted their production after Tet, which is the lunar New Year celebrated in Vietnam. Nhatexco is putting all possible efforts to improve its productivity as well as quality to create more impact in the international markets.
It intends to set up a new garment workshop with an overall production capacity of 3.5 million tons per year, in order to augment the variety of product and increase its sales and export turnover.
