Kohl's signs with Lightstone Malls

The Lightstone Malls, which is owned and operated by the Lightstone Group, has announced that it will be opening an 80,000-square-foot Kohl's department store in October of this year in the West Manchester Mall in York, Pa.
Construction and demolition began this week. With work delayed due to the unusual amount of snow over the winter, construction crews will be working extra hard to meet the nine-month schedule.
"We are delighted to have such a magnificent quality department store as Kohl's as one of our anchor stores in the West Manchester Mall," said Carl Chudnofsky, executive vice president of the Lightstone Malls. "While many department stores are closing stores, Kohl's continues to grow nationally with new store openings. We look forward to growing our mall business with the addition of Kohl's."
Based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., Kohl's is a family-focused, value-oriented specialty department store offering moderately priced, exclusive and national brand apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty and home products in an exciting shopping environment. By the end of March, Kohl's will operate 1,067 stores in 49 states.
West Manchester Mall features a national tenant line-up including Wal-Mart Supercenter, which opened in July 2004; Regal 13 Cinemas, the only first-run, stadium-seating movie theatre in York; and Macy's. Over 83,000 vehicles pass the center each day.
Located between Lancaster and Gettysburg, Pa., 30 miles south of Harrisburg, Pa. and 60 miles north of Baltimore, Md., York, has one of the fastest-growing populations in Pennsylvania and is experiencing a renaissance with its booming housing market and the modernization of its workforce.
