Kushitani to create S 1000 RR BMW Motorrad jackets

BMW Motorrad USA has teamed up with Kushitani to manufacture leather and fabric jackets for the S 1000 RR. Kushitani, the leading manufacturer in Japan of premium quality motorcycle racing gear, has been building race suits since 1947.
Kushitani's racing gear has been used by many top race riders throughout the world because they have developed advanced technical leather and textile designs for sport riders and track use. Not only Kushitani's leathers but also their textiles are made of the best materials.
- Jacket in BMW Motorsport colors (white, blue, red) with black highlights and steel main zipper; made of 1.4 to 1.6 mm cow hide with Stretch Kevlar panels in the sleeves, waist and back(black). 100% polyester inner lining.
- The Motorsport jacket has a more aggressive cut than the RR jacket in order to pull shoulders more forward. It has a tighter fit so there is less flapping in the wind. It also features neo-prim on the wrist to prevent pinching while wearing a full gantlet glove.
- Stretch Kevlar panel also in the neck area for more comfort in riding position and less resistance in the neck while looking up. Collar with inside neo-prim lining. Also Stretch Kevlar under armpit to prevent pinching while in the forward leaning riding position. Stretch Kevlar for ventilation, wear comfort and safety.
- White leather is punched mesh for maximum airflow and minimum body exhaustion. It secures safe ease of movement, wear comfort and assures great ventilation.
- Additional steel ventilation zippers in the sleeves and shoulder area.
- Sleeves and other impact areas come with double to triple stitching for further safety and protection. Double leather inside protector pockets for higher degree of protection. BMW Motorrad NP protectors in the shoulders and elbows. Pocket for retrofittable NP back protector in the back.
- Easy to combine with any pants, long connection zipper comes with female part which can be sewn into any pants.
- Adjustable in waist.
- Belt loop, for connecting to belt loop on pants.
- 2 outside pockets and 1 inside pocket.
- Rubberized BMW Roundels on both sleeves; large BMW lettering in front (chest) and back; sleeves come with BMW Motorrad Motorsport logotype (blue leather front) and Kushitani logotype (blue leather back) for brand identification.
- The jacket is cut to USA standard, although it is still more form fitting then other sport jackets on the market. It features a better fit with less chance of armor rotation.
