Organizers, exhibitors, and visitors express widespread satisfaction over the course of Performance Days in Munich (April 13-15, 2010) and Annecy (April 19-20, 2010). At the one of the most popular trade shows in the textiles industry, decision makers, designers, and product managers experienced the latest trends and innovations in sportswear and functional apparel as well as the Winter 11/12 and Summer 12 collections.

The number of international exhibitors from Europe, Asia and the USA was 20% higher in comparison to the previous trade show in November 2009. This year was bigger and better with about 70 exhibitors from a total of 16 countries present on the exhibit floors of Munich and Annecy, respectively 1.200m2 (12,915) and 1.000m2 (10,765 square feet). Parallel to this, organizers also reported an increase of 19.4% in the number of visitors, some travelling from 11 different countries, unaffected by the compression of the number of fair days from 6 to 5 and the reduced number of venues from 3 (Verona, Stockholm, and Munich) to 2, Munich and Annecy. Besides popular events like the Trend Forum, an exhibit of more than 200 fabrics and work samples also attracted many visitors, especially to the „Workwear“ table in the area of functional apparel. In addition, Trend Forum designer Alexa Dehmel aroused the public's interest at the „Innovation Tower“ where video clips and multimedia presentations gave curious visitors their first look at the latest products.

There was much acclaim especially for the recently introduced framework agenda: 5 expert presentations in Munich and 2 lectures in Annecy provided the audience with informative, provoking, and motivating discussions as well as new ideas and opinions. In Munich and Annecy, the scope of the presentations ranged from widely discussed topics like nano technology and other new textile technologies to sustainability aspects, marketing strategies and software solutions for the apparel manufacturers and design studios or even the new trends and colors for Winter 2011/12. In Annecy, the program also included the subject of bioceramic membranes and the advantages of ecologic innovations for communications. The organizers are very pleased at the tremendous success of the presentations and, in response to the wishes of the speakers, the public, and the exhibitors, have agreed to expand the presentation schedule to every day for future trade shows.True to the concept of the roadshow, the choice of Annecy for the French Performance Days was based on the criteria of selecting one of the major regions known for international sport and outdoor recreation.

The premier in Annecy was especially honored and appreciated in the formal welcome and remarks by the Lord Mayor of Annecy, Jean -Luc Rigaut and the attendance of the Mayor's representative in Annecy-le-Vieux, Yvon Bosson. Annecy immediately established a spot for itself in the history of the roadshow. At the official opening ceremony, President Jean-Luc Diard introduced the project and personally honored the locally based cooperation partners "Outdoor Sports Valley“ and "Eurosima“.
