Tadashi Yanai, Chairman and President, Fast Retailing Co recently stated that the company which is a functionary of the Uniqlo casual clothing chain, in the coming 10 years, would endeavour to add new outlets to the existing ones to have in all 1,000 outlets across China.
Addressing a press conference in Shanghai, he said, due to the expansion plans, Fast Retailing will witness its sales in China touching one trillion Yen. The comments just came prior to the launch of a Uniqlo store in Shanghai. The outlet spread over on the ground area of around 3,600 square meters is the biggest of all the Uniqlo outlets.
In 2002, Fast Retailing commenced its first ever Uniqlo store in Shanghai, China, which was directly managed by the firm. Since then, the company has launched many outlets in mainland China and Hong Kong, summing up to 64, till April.
