Operator of the popular Uniqlo casual clothing chain, 'Fast Retailing Co' eyes to open outlets in India and Latin America with an objective to expand its global presence, said Tadashi Yanai, President of the company.
The company is increasing its domestic outlets in Japanese departmental stores and also plans to open stores in Indian and Latin American markets within the next 10 years. Uniqlo outlets will also be established in countries such as Germany and Spain, added the President.
He expects that the company can achieve the target that it had announced earlier to multiply its group sales by seven times to 5 trillion yen by the year 2020 through sales via stores in Asia including China.
After establishing global flagship outlets in New York, London and Paris, Fast Retailing Co, one of the well performing Japanese retailers, has recently opened its fourth global flagship outlet in Shanghai.
