Patrick James apparel brand returns to base, Carmel

After a gap and staying away from Carmel for about 20 years, Patrick James, a men's apparel firm is back from where it started.
While a very low-key inauguration took place last week in the Barnyard Shopping Village, a grand opening is scheduled for this week at the store, 3744, The Barnyard.
Although there were no expansion plans in the near future by the 16-store firm. based in Fresno, but Patrick J Mon Pere Jr said that, Carmel was a luring opportunity for the company and his father and firm's founder, Mon Pere Jr worked out a lease with the landlord for the same.
As per Mon Pere there is enough business around this new or rather old destination. Calling themselves friendly competitors, Pere continues that, during the last four months, the company has observed certain improvement in the Carmel market trends and things seem to be coming back to the market.
Although, Pere expects some trade to take place with the tourist visiting Carmel, the key business of the new store will be with the domestic customers.
