Non-profit organisation, MADE-BY from Netherland has appointed Berlin fashion label, Banuq, the 34th garment label to sing up to the individual consumer brand for sustainable and ethical fashion.

As per Mauro Pavesi, Banuq's co-founder and managing director, Banuq, as firm is committed towards doing business responsibly, not bothering about the costs. While for some this is fair trade, others name it ethical fashion.

He further added that, Banuq believes in putting their best foot forward and therefore being good is not their aim. Therefore, their garments are more fashionable, taking it away from the conventional thought that, ethical means boring.

With its inception in 2009, Banuq's management and design is Italian, the firm is registered in Germany and it manufactures goods in Ehypt and Ethiopia. It has both worked and has always garnered support from colleagues in Italy, Japan, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya and Ethtiopia.

With its key focus on environment and social sustainability, Banuq has developed a complete African supply chain. Organic and failr traded cotton utilised by the firm is cultivated and processing in to fabric in Egypt, whereas, the apparels are manufactured in Ethiopia, which is crafted to generate more jobs in Africa.

Davide Grazioli, Banuq's co-founder and designer said that, the firm believes in personal fashion, wherein one has the liberty to pick and combine varied pieces of apparels, from different moods and brands.

Banuq considers its brand as a pathway for people who love to travel and explore newer horizons and cultures.
