Chairman of G2000 to address IAF World Apparel Convention

The influential, Mr Michael Tien, Chairman for G2000 (Apparel) Limited will deliver the keynote speech: “Is fast fashion killing fashion?” on the opening of the three-day IAF World Apparel Convention, running from 5 October 2010 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre and parallel to Interstoff Asia Essential Autumn.

Mr Tien commented on the relevancy of bringing the convention to Hong Kong after a 13 years absence, explaining the important role Hong Kong plays in connecting China to the rest of the fashion world industry.

"For those who desire to tap into the 1.3 billion strong Chinese consumer market, Hong Kong is the place where professional talent with China knowhow can be recruited and build teams in design, sourcing, product development, technical support, marketing, and retail to attract this massive market. More importantly, China's consumers' tastes have increasingly been influenced by their Hong Kong counterpart and brands, making this city an effective testing market for newcomers wishing to enter China,"observed Mr Tien.
