GAP, the giant of world fashion industry, with more than 4,200 chain stores worldwide is finally stepping in to the Chinese market after a long overdue hiatus.
Recently, President of GAP in China, Yang De Ming said that, GAP is expected to open four stores in China by the end of 2010, of which, two each will be opened in Beijing and Shanghai.
Each shop is expected to be spread out over an area of 1,100 ~ 1,800 square meters, along with which internet sales will follow up in synchronization.
GAP which is more well-known for its brand of jeans opened its first chain store in Middle East and Southeast Asia in 2006 and now after a gap of four years, it is entering the China market.
