'Love My Body' workout clothing for plus women
“Love My Body” ActiveWear by Forbes Riley is designed to inspire and empower women to look and feel good NOW, not 5 or 50 pounds from now!
As Americans are growing larger, 62% of females are already categorized as overweight, but the relationship between the fashion industry and the fuller-figured women is at a stand-off, especially in the world of workout clothes – leaving many relegated to bulky sweatpants and oversized cotton t-shirts. Unlike smaller sized, fashion forward exercise gear – for the plus-size women, the clothes just doesn't exist! “Love My Body” is designed to do just that; to make women to look and feel good immediately before their first step into a gym. With built in shapewear and flattering textures, these clothes are specifically designed and versatile enough to go from the gym to the nail salon, food shopping, or lunch with a friend. The patent pending slimming technology in the pants gently lift and shape the lower half of the body while the embellished tops and uniquely designed jackets draw the eye up to the face creating thin stylish lines.
“Love My Body” is developed by recent National Fitness Hall of Fame Inductee and TV personality, Forbes Riley. “This idea of creating a fitness/active wear clothing line for women of all sizes is 25 years in the making. Most of my life I was a size 12-14 and when I hosted Fit-TV in the 90's I was sponsored by a clothing line that, let's just say, wasn't very flattering on me so I started sketching my ideal outfits.”
HSN's CEO and former Nike Clothing exec, Mindy Grossman, saw the potential in “Love My Body” and thanks to her creative insight exclusively launched the line on HSN. Women all across the country of varying shapes and sizes can finally feel empowered and ready to embark on the challenge of getting themselves fit and healthy while looking slim and stylish, even before their first sit-up!
In recent years HSN has become a hotbed for exciting celebrity talent and their product lines from Serena Williams, Susan Lucci, Badgley Mischka, Nate Berkus, Molly Sims to P. Diddy, Mary J. Blidge and Martha Stewart. Given that full-figured women spent more than $18.6 billion on apparel each year, Forbes Riley will be among this list helping to empower and inspire women all over the country to get fit and be fearless!
As Phillip Masiello, founder of Raw Essentials added, “It has been a joy to watch Forbes create this vision – for so many years she has inspired, educated and motivated women through food and exercise – it's a natural fit as she builds her brand, to want to dress them in a style that makes them want to move!”
