Mr Jay Gupta wins Young Entrepreneur Award

Retail major and discount store format pioneer The Loot, is on a all time high. The Loot, known to be one of the best in collections, brands and discounts is not just growing in size, but also in its reputation and recognition.

The Loot that began its journey just 5 years ago, has grown to over 150 stores across the length and breadth of the country, with over 50000footfalls per week and having over 200000square feet of retail space under its roof.

In the past 17 months, The Loot has been showered with 12 awards which confirm that the industry has noticed the success and scorching growth of The Loot.

The first award was the “Star Entrepreneur Award” at the International India Innovation Summit which was held on the 23rd and 24th of January 2009. Post receiving this award, Mr. Jay Gupta and The Loot have been adding numerous awards to their kitty.

Recently The Loot added the 12th award to their wagon of awards –Mr. C.B.Bhave Chairman SEBI presented the Young Entrepreneur Award for Outstanding Achievement award at the 15th National SME Entrepreneurship Excellence Awards and 1st Young Entrepreneurship Excellence Awards Presentation Function.

The earlier awards are:-

• “Star Entrepreneur Award” at the International India Innovation Summit held on 23rd & 24th January, 2009.
• “Critics choice for Pioneering Effort in Retail Concept Creation” award at the Images Fashion Awards 2009.
• "Young Retail Achiever Of The Year Award” at the REID & TAYLOR AWARDS for Retail Excellence on 3rd February,2009.
• “Star Youth Achiever Award” on 4th February 2009at the Global Youth Marketing Forum.
• Mr. Jay Gupta also won the “TATA NEN Hottest Start up award”, making the Loot the most sought after multi brand store.
• Mr. Jay was conferred with the Most Popular Entrepreneur Challenge 2009 by www.yourstory.in.
• The TiE & Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence Award at TiEcon Delhi 2009 on 18th September 2009.
• "Young Achiever of the Year" Award at the Global Awards for Brand Excellence 2009 hosted by World Brand Congress.
• “CMO Award” at The Conference on Marketing hosted by World Brand Congress, 2009 – November.
• “Best in Category Retail – Value” Award at the Franchise Award '09 – 7th Award for Excellence in Franchising and Business Development at New Delhi – November 2009.
• The Indy Award for Excellence in Mass Communication. This award was awarded to Mr. Jay Gupta in February 2010.

With all these awards in his kitty, Mr Jay Gupta – MD, The Loot said “It was an unknown journey till 5 years ago. The aim was to succeed but the path was undefined. These awards help us define our path and our goals. While looking behind we feel a sense of satisfaction, looking ahead however it is a long way to go.”
