The Wet Seal, Inc., a leading specialty retailer to young women, announced the opening of a new store in the Brea Mall in Brea, California. The store will carry the exceptional assortment found in a typical Wet Seal store as well as two new shop within shop concepts. At just over 5,700 squarefeet, this new Wet Seal footprint is sure to highlight all the categories important to the Wet Seal customer.

Playing off of the recent opening of 'Blink', the Company's first pop-up shop in Riverside, CA, the Brea Mall location incorporates a Blink shop within the store design. The Blink area, similar to the pop-up shop, will feature the latest trends in denim in a multitude of styles from various fashion brands, and will be complemented by Wet Seal's core denim program, Blue Asphalt.

The Brea location will also feature a small candy shop under the IT'SUGAR name. IT'SUGAR is a national candy store chain found 'at the intersection of attitude and fun'. The assortment has been hand picked with the Wet Seal customer in mind and will feature everything from sours to chocolates and be merchandised with over the top candy guitars and imagery.

“As we continue to expand and test new concepts, we are excited about opening a larger format store and incorporating our denim shop, Blink.” said Ed Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. “The concept continues our focus of being a denim destination for the target customer.”

Wet Seal at Brea Mall will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, July 31st, 2010, with live music from notable area great, DJ Lady Kate, and give away prizes to anyone that comes by and spins the prize wheel. Prizes will include free tees, sunglasses and gift cards as well as several other offers, including free IT'SUGAR candy for the first 300 people that arrive. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m.
