Philips International inks lease deal with Urban Outfitters

Philips International, one of New York's preeminent owners, developers and real estate managers, along with their partner, the Wings Group, announced that the trendy and innovative clothing retailer, Urban Outfitters, has signed a long-term lease for 12,000 square feet at 200 East 86th St. at the base of The Brompton, a new luxury residential tower.
Currently, 4,000 square feet of retail space remains at the 22-story condominium on the southeast corner of 86th Street and Third Avenue. The classic residential tower, whose address is 205 East 85th St., was designed by noted architect Robert A.M. Stern.
"We are delighted to have secured one of the nation's most popular retailers for our building at 200 East 86th Street," said Seth Pilevsky, managing director of Philips International. "This lease continues our successful history of attracting the finest brand-name retailers throughout our portfolio at Philips International."
Pilevsky added, "In an otherwise challenging economic climate, while others are contracting, Philips International continues to execute significant transactions based on the quality of our assets and our strong capital position."
Urban Outfitters Inc. is a leading specialty retailer serving highly defined customer niches through 157 Urban Outfitters stores in the United States. With the newly signed lease at The Brompton location, Urban Outfitters now has a presence on the Upper East Side, along with their other Manhattan locations in SoHo, the East and West Villages, the Upper West Side and Union Square.
