EU Apparel Buyers week will be held in Macedonia from September 20 to October 1, 2010. The event is supported and organized by the USAID funded Macedonia Competitiveness Project, German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) and the Dutch Center for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI).

As many as 25 of Macedonia's leading apparel manufacturers are expected to be available for factory visits, representing a cross section of the capabilities Macedonia has to offer. The buyer's week represents a cost-effective way to meet new suppliers, build relationships with existing partners, and learn more about why Macedonia should be part of your sourcing strategy.

One –on-one pre-matched meetings and factory visits will be arranged by the Competiveness Project based upon the procurement needs of buyers and manufacturer production profiles.

It is expected that between 8 - 15 factory visits will be arranged between participating buyers and manufacturers, encouraging opportunities for sourcing, outsourcing and other business linkages.

Following the buyers week, the Competitiveness Project and its partners will be available to support sampling and other business facilitation.
