Since the beginning of 2010, exports of clothing from Vietnam have been on a roll. In the month of July they touched US $1.08 billion, up 9.8 percent over the previous month.
In the period from January to July, apparel exports reached $5.58 billion, an impressive jump of 16.9 percent, when compared with the same period of the previous year.
Exports to US, retained the first spot and were valued at $3.3 billion, followed by the EU at $986 million and those to Japan stood at $580 million in the first seven months of 2010.
