Dollar Industries Limited, with an intent to lift the dwindling market for its men's vests, hosiery and innerwear, launched a new collection of Men's 'designer undershirt'; “MyMe”.
Vinod Gupta, Managing Director of Dollar Industries Limited said that, renowned designers used cent percent American Pima cotton while producing the new range and thus, it can very well be described as India's first designer innerwear.
It has the best quality cotton, which has lightness of a feather along with having properties of sweat absorption and being odour free. Besides, it even has a heat absorbing capacity which is unique in itself, he added by saying.
He also divulged that, the company exercises a hold of over 15 percent of the branded hosiery Indian market, and that its yearly turnover for current financial year is seen at Rs. 2.9 billion.
He further added that, the company's annual turnover is projected to reach Rs. 3.5 billion in 2011-12. Gupta also informed that the company lately has tied up with big retailers like Bharti Wal-Mart and Reliance retail and that, even outside India, Dollar innerwear is the one of the biggest selling brand, in the Middle East.
He further stated that, currently the company exports around seven percent of its production, and that, they are even considering exploring markets of Europe, South America, South East Asia, Sri Lanka and Myanmar, before long.
