Throwdown, a leader in impact and Action Sports, announces a long term strategic partnership with Ultimate Accessory Group, the world's largest resource for fashion accessories. The relationship will feature a new line of Accessories including Headwear, Beanies, Visors, Hats, Belts, Belt Buckles, Knit Gloves, Back Packs, and Flip Flops.

“We embraced the opportunity to become the Accessory Partner to Throwdown” reports Sandy Schonwald, President of Ultimate Accessory Group. “Throwdown has been well respected since the inception of the MMA industry for innovative design and production of best-in-class equipment that is functional and safe to help athletes perform to their highest potential.

Recently, Throwdown has demonstrated with many retail leaders in the industry that their credibility and authenticity in the segment also translates well into fashion with their rapid growth and success with the Throwdown lifestyle apparel. With Throwdown's solid position in both function and fashion, an expanded Accessory portfolio made sense on many levels and we are fortunate to have been selected.“

“With continued demand from our customer base, we looked to identify the right partner that had the ability and drive to stay in stride with our rapidly growing company, “ reported Dave Vautrin, CEO of Throwdown. With headquarters in St Louis, and offices in New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai, we were certain that Ultimate Accessory Group could meet the global sourcing demand of the Throwdown brand.”

“The Ultimate Accessory Group's industry acumen, diverse and creative thinking, depth of distribution, global reach, and reputation for high quality customer service were all part of this strategic decision. What especially resonated with our leadership was their common passion for performance, supported by Ultimate Accessory Group's significant headwear patent 6625818 in their segment. Many hats today contain the company's technology. This patent, which was issued in September 2003, has a multiaxially stretchable band; often trademarked as TEK FLEX.”

The expanded Throwdown accessory portfolio will soon be available on Throwdown.com and many premium retailers this winter season.
