Apparel output down as manufacturing shifts to Kenya & other countries

Since additional plants shut down, apparel industry of Taiwan continues to look for new destinations, speeding up in 2005.
Kenya has been one of the new stations, where the local apparel industry has been given a significant expansion by Taiwanese investment.
Apparel output in Taiwan amounted to 924,000 dozen items in October; this registered a year-on-year fall of 18.9 percent and the third lowest monthly output.
From January to October, total apparel production amounted to 9.672 million dozen, registering a year-on-year fall of 22.8 percent.
