S. Krishnamoorthy, President, Textile Division, Aditya Birla Group recently divulged that, Linen Club, in order to meet the growing demand for linen, proposes to launch 100 exclusive outlets over the next two years. Linen Club is a brand of Jayashree Textiles, a subsidary of Aditya Birla Nuvo

The official unveiled the plans while speaking at inaugural function of brand's first ever exclusive outlet in Chennai by bollywood fame actor, Kabir Bedi on September 18.

Krishnamoorthy informed that, ranging right from pure linen to linen blends, the brand offered printed and embroidered linen clothing to fit in the requirements of men, women and children.

The company uses flax fibre brought in from countries like France and Belgium to produce linen, which also has a cosy feel, Krishnamoorthy said. Further, the brand is to launch its next outlet in Bangalore.

Tier II cities would remain to be the company's main focus for expansion, he said and added that, the fabric is gaining popularity and confidence amongst consumers with every passing day.

According to Krishnamoorth, Jaya Shree Textiles with a contribution of 65 percent of the total linen apparels trade, has stood out as clear leader in the linen business.

Also it has succeeded in gaining popularity amongst foremost garment brands in the country like Color Plus, Louis Phillipe, Van Heusen and Allen Solly.
