Jack Ellis, a textile firm located in Kirriemuir in Angus, has recently launched a range of bulletproof tweed that provides protection to hunting enthusiasts.

The Scottish firm has prepared jackets and waistcoats with bulletproof plates embedded in them, which can be worn while out for hunting and shooting.

Also, this is the ideal product that could serve the high-end security purposes of people, particularly in foreign countries, like Russia which could present a sizeable and growing market to the company.

In spite of being very light in weight, the garments can easily block any shotgun blasts or gunshots and have been produced keeping in mind, compliance norms.

Though embedding of bulletproof sheets in the garments make them look slightly paddy, but then their prices are really high, with each jacket being vended for around £1000.
